USTA State
Championships
Double
Mini & Trampoline & Tumbling Meet on Saturday April 19,
2008 and Sunday April 20, 2008. It will be an AAU
& USTA sanctioned meet for beginner to advanced
competitors. Teams and competitors from the state of Iowa will
be competing in the USTA State Championships so that they can
qualify for USTA Nationals. It will be hosted by UDSGC Inc. at
Veterans Memorial Auditorium in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. For

Congratulations to our Gymnastics Team gymnasts in Level 7
that competed in the Iowa Optional State Championships 2008 on April
5th, 2008 in Sioux City Iowa.
Level 7: Macall Campbell,
Ashlyn Clingman, Amber Shiffer, Kassie Kulas, Kelsie
Briggs.
The Level 7 Gymnastics Team
received 4th place at the meet.
Congratulations to Tornadoes, Earthquakes and Typhoons at Nationals that took place in
Chicago IL. and Orlando, FL. All three teams did a super
job!
Urbandale All-Stars is now
taking new members for their mini, youth, junior & senior

New Things Happening at
UDSGC!
**On the Pond Swim School**
We are in the process of
building a brand new 30 foot by 50 foot outdoor pool. UDSGC
Inc is the first and only gymnastics club in the state of Iowa to
have this type of facility. The pool is designed to teach
children water safety and to learn how to swim. We will offer
swim classes in the morning and afternoon and evening for your
convenience. We are a member of United States Swim School
Association (www.USSwimSchools.org) which is very
involved in aquatic education and safety. UDSGC Inc. is
very excited to offer is fun and exciting program to our
facility. Please look for new fun and exciting
classes and activities involving our new pool
facility
All Star Cheerleading
Program:
Tornadoes: 6 years old to 5th
grade. Which is a New competitive program.
Thunderbolts: 3 years old to 5
years old. Non Competitive cheer and pom pom class for girls and
boys.
New Expanded
Viewing!!!!:
We have expanded viewing for
all of our parents and spectators to view our large gym from the 2nd
floor and see all the fun we are having.
Rainbow Stars
Program:
New Boys
Program: designed to challenge and have fun while learning
new skills. For ages 6 years old and older. The boys
will only be working on 6 boys specific Olympic events and pit and
trampoline to enhance their tumbling skills and to have
fun.
Star Wars:
Episode #1: Will be
Saturday March 8th, 2008. It is an all event meet in our
gym for recreational students. All competitors will receive
medals for each event that they will compete in. This is a
great time for family and friends to see what the kids are learning
in class. Please pick up your entry form from your child's
instructor or at the front desk. We hope to see everyone at
this fun event.
